Alternative provision at Brightwood Dibden

Brightwood Dibden offers high staffed ratio alternative provision for 11-16s

Brightwood has 3 lovely rooms

One large main learning hub

A cosy room for more personalised and small group learning with a computer station.

A dedicated relax/therapy room for much needed chilled time.

We offer a therapeutic, supportive, child led approach.

These sessions are focused on supporting children's wellbeing, interests, building confidence and encouraging independence.

We work closely with schools, Hampshire Local authority and parents/carers to develop a personalised learning and support package.

Our purpose is to support young people to either reintegrate back into full time learning or offering support until they gain placement in a suitable specialist setting.

The child led sessions include, mentoring, crafts, life skills, PSHE, preparing for the next steps, community outings and the chance to explore personal interests.

 Students also have the opportunity to take functional skills in Maths and English, plus the chance to gain certificates with Asdan programmes and short courses.

These include;

Animal care (with the practical experience given at our Bashley site)

Personal development programme

Life skills

Sports and fitness

Any many more

Students can attend for a maximum of 15 hours a week Tuesday to Thursday

Sessions are a minimum of 3 hours for a half day or full day.
